The destination is worth the miles of washboard and pothole-enhanced roadway. Yes, it’s USFS road after the pavement, and their budget is thin!
Our site, 6, was the best for long rigs and RVs. The loop to turn around requires a rig 35’ or less, but a skilled driver can maneuver the stump challenge and enjoy the journey!
We booked the site upon arrival by scanning the QR code. Occupy the site, then pay, is the standard. AT&T & Verizon service is 3+ bars..
The sites are fairly close together, which wasn’t an issue since we only had one neighbor a few sites away. The vault toilet was clean and appropriately stocked.
The setting and view are soul-inspiring.; we were treated to double rainbows following the evening squall.
The lake is fishable from the shoreline, and the boat ramp makes this the perfect spot for “unimproved “ paradise for water enthusiasts of all sorts.
